Hi, I'm Jessica, your Florida elopement photographer and guide.

Ready to plan your elopement? Here are a few tips to get you started

Plan a sunset sail, a snorkeling trip, a beach picnic, or even an airboat ride in the Everglades. Make your day as adventurous as your love story, ensuring it's memorable and enjoyable, not just picture-perfect.

Even though you're eloping, there are still details to manage, like obtaining your marriage license, securing location permits, and arranging for any necessary witnesses. Make a checklist to ensure a stress-free celebration, or you can download ours for free here.

Florida's weather can be unpredictable, especially with its tropical climate. Bring light, breathable clothing for the heat, and remember waterproof gear for those sudden rain showers. Prepare for your outdoor elopement by checking the weather forecast and packing accordingly.

Elopements are intimate by nature, so personalize your celebration. Write your own vows, choose meaningful music, and incorporate special touches that reflect your relationship. Whatever it is that makes you two unique as a couple, include it.

Whether you're drawn to the vibrant beaches of Miami, the tropical vibes of the Florida Keys, or the historic charm of St. Augustine, pick a location that reflects your personality and love story. You won't regret finding the perfect spot that really represents who you are as a couple.

A great photographer can help you plan your elopement, guide you through getting necessary permits, scout out the best locations, and capture stunning photos that you'll cherish forever. Make sure you're hiring someone who knows the area well and can help with these elements, especially where safety is concerned. This is what I do for all my couples eloping in Florida.

"My wife discovered Jessica through instagram after we decided to get eloped in St. Augustine, Florida. A charming place we absolutely fell in love with that now shares a special place in our memories and our hearts. Initially what attracted us to Jessica were not just the photos, but the photo concepts Jessica creates ie. the double exposures, which are absolutely phenomenal. But as it turns out as well, Jessica has a vast network of vendors who helped create a beautiful memory of the special day by producing the most stunning flower arrangements, wedding cake design, and romantic beachside picnic setting, as well as an officiant who provided a memorable and touching ceremony.

Jessica, became like family for the brief moments we were all together! She blended in and captured all of us in an authentic way. She helped us curate a wonderful day in the most beautiful setting and will forever be a part of our story. What she captured was timeless memories that brought two families together in an intimate ceremony. She helped map out the site (and a plan B site) without any of us ever seeing it in person as well as the perfect timeline. She took the time to video conference several times to work through some of the details. She also developed a list of lodging, florists, make-up artists, catering, etc… that saved us hours of research and guess work! Thank you Jessica for helping us with our wedding/elopement day!

Working with Jessica was such a smooth process! She really took her time in making sure she understood exactly what shots and angles we wanted to capture. Day of we’re a little nervous because we’ve never had professional pictures taken and are usually pretty shy in front of a camera. It was a super fun session and she made us feel very comfortable. We now have beautiful pictures to remember our day

Yes, you do! You'll need a marriage license from any clerk of courts office in Florida. Keep in mind there's a three-day waiting period for Florida residents after you get the license before you can tie the knot, so plan ahead. If you're coming from out of state then you don't have to wait! You're free to get married ASAP.

During those months you'll get less chance of rain and more mild temperatures which makes outdoor adventures extra enjoyable. Summertime is gorgeous too but be prepared for our daily rain showers and lots of humidity!

Florida has tons of options for finding an officiant. You can hire a professional officiant if you're looking for a specific type of ceremony, have your best friend become ordained online so they can marry you, or even have a notary sign off on your license to make it all official!

Wear what makes you feel amazing, but also be practical about the weather. Typically if you have some light layers then you should be good to go! During our warmer months you can't go wrong with linen and lighter fabrics. Always check the forecast and be prepared.
