I have been so fortunate to photograph some amazing couples in Iceland this summer, including J + R’s Iceland vow renewal. Vow renewals are especially meaningful to me, having been married for nearly 10 years myself. Watching two people come together *again* to celebrate their marriage is so amazing to me. There’s just something extra special about taking time to do it again when you’ve been together for a while. Creating new memories together and celebrating a new chapter (plus all the previous chapters!).
J + R were the epitome of laid back, go with the flow personalities. We woke up at a not-so-early hour to jump in their Land Rover Defender for an adventure in the Iceland highlands. We journeyed on some of Iceland’s F-type roads which involved lots of river crossings and making really big splashes! I was definitely a little bit nervous at first bit after the first couple of crossings we looked forward to making more and more splashes. I had to get out of the car so I could photograph R driving through at least one crossing and it was so cute how J stuck her bouquet out of the window!
Other parts of our day included finding a secret waterfall that didn’t have anyone else, stopping off for some amazing views of the highlands, lots of sheep (plus a silver fox), and finding the perfect overlook for them to exchange vows. To end the night we stoked the fire for the log burning hot tub back at our Airbnb and J + R had a glass of wine while they soaked and relaxed. Such a perfect way to end the day!
This Iceland vow renewal was definitely an adventure and we go to experience so many beautiful places! I am so blessed with my amazing couples and that I get to be a part of such special memories.

When I'm not behind the camera, I love spending time with my dog hiking the beautiful Florida trails, out on my paddle board in our local springs, or spending quality time with my husband exploring local events. When it's been too long since my last beach day, I have cravings for that perfect mix of saltwater and ocean air.
