Britt and Brandon were visiting the PNW for the first time, and they knew they wanted jaw-dropping mountain views without a strenuous hike, especially since they were bringing family along. Enter: Mt. Rainier National Park. With paved roads leading all the way up to Paradise (yes, that’s the actual name—fitting, right?), this spot makes it easy to enjoy those sweeping alpine landscapes without breaking a sweat. Luckily for us, we had the perfect clear day, so Rainier was showing off in full force!
Their Mt. Rainier National Park elopement with family was a dream, and this is how it went!
Originally, Britt and Brandon thought a four-hour elopement package would be enough. But after walking through all the possibilities—different viewpoints, quiet trails, and special moments they could have together—they decided to upgrade to a six-hour package. Best. Decision. Ever. We had so much more time to explore, take in the views, and make sure their day felt relaxed and unrushed.
And because I always help my couples craft a timeline, they knew exactly what to expect. No stress, just adventure.
Sometimes, couples feel the call to elope; however, they still want to include family. And you can have both, just like Britt and Brandon did.
Britt and Brandon brought their kids and closest family along for the adventure, making the day even more meaningful for them. Their ceremony was simple but deeply personal—Britt’s grandfather prayed over them as they stood together. This was a symbolic but super sweet ceremony in one of the most beautiful places on earth. (The couple already got legally married at home, which helps with some logistics!)
And if you’re looking for ideas on How to Include Family in Your Elopement, I got you!
After the ceremony, we set off to explore and take some more photos, just the three of us, before reuniting with their daughters for some sweet family photos with Rainier towering behind them.
I love getting to know my couples beyond just the wedding day, and when Britt and Brandon told me they love visiting national parks, I knew I had to surprise them. I gifted them a National Parks “passport”—a keepsake where they can collect stamps from all the parks they visit. And yep, we made sure to get it stamped at the Rainier Visitor Center!

When I'm not behind the camera, I love spending time with my dog hiking the beautiful Florida trails, out on my paddle board in our local springs, or spending quality time with my husband exploring local events. When it's been too long since my last beach day, I have cravings for that perfect mix of saltwater and ocean air.
